With the Fall 2008 semester Baptist Seminary of Kentucky has begun its seventh year of preparing God-called men and women for life and ministry in faithful witness to Jesus Christ. We are responding to the needs of students seeking theological education and the needs of churches searching for well-trained ministers of the Gospel. Our students are experiencing spiritual growth as they fulfill God’s call upon their lives. At Baptist Seminary of Kentucky we are helping students to clarify the Spirit’s leading, to value the truths of the Scriptures, to embrace the stories of the Church, to develop excellence in ministry, and to relate the Christian faith in the 21st century. Students who are passionate about learning are being taught by faculty who are passionate about teaching. Faculty members have a strong commitment to academics that blends classical studies with contemporary perspectives. All of this takes place in the exceptional learning environment located on the campus of Lexington Theological Seminary. We believe that utilizing their library, office space and enrichment opportunities is good stewardship of our resources. While we are distinctively Baptist, the two seminaries cooperate together in sharing grace and sharing space. Baptist Seminary of Kentucky has witnessed steady growth in measurable ways: the number of students and faculty; financial support from individuals and churches; the size and participation of the Board of Trustees. Just as our students, faculty and staff are taking steps of growth on their individual spiritual journeys, the Seminary is also making progress on its spiritual journey. We are walking toward the future God has for Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. Come walk with us.
